Resume Examples for Freshers
Generic advice tells freshers what sections to include — seeing what strong content actually reads like in each section is usually more useful.
A strong summary line
"Computer Science graduate with hands-on experience in full-stack development through 3 academic and personal projects, seeking an entry-level software engineering role." Specific, states direction, no filler phrases like "hardworking" or "team player."
A strong project bullet
"Built a food delivery app clone using Flutter and Firebase, implementing real-time order tracking and Razorpay payment integration, used by 40+ beta testers." Names the tools, describes function, includes a real number.
A strong internship bullet
"Completed a 6-week backend development internship, building 4 REST API endpoints in Node.js and reducing average response time by 15% through query optimization." Specific scope and a measurable outcome, not just "assisted with development."
A strong skills section
Grouped by category rather than one long list: "Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript. Frameworks: React, Express. Tools: Git, Postman, MySQL." Specific and scannable, versus a vague "programming languages" line.
A strong certifications line
"NPTEL: Database Management Systems (8-week, Elite certificate)" — naming the actual course and provider reads as more credible than just listing "Database certification."
